This is one of our favourite treatments to do, it’s like magic! We use the gold standard Nd:Yag laser to treat each vessel individually and often see them disappear before our eyes! Clients are always very pleased to see immediate improvement after the laser treatment.

The redness subsides in approximately 24-48 hours after the vessels are treated. The area is cooled, and then we apply sunscreen and cover with Colorescience mineral skin care cosmetics. You leave the studio looking like you have had nothing done at all!

A follow-up appointment In three weeks is always booked before you leave. During this time we recommend gentle care of the skin without any harsh exfoliation as the skin is still healing.

Spider veins, also referred to as telangiectasia or venulectasias, can form when there is weakening of the blood vessel wall and may develop on any part of the body, including the face. They appear as small red, blue or purple thread-like lines in shapes resembling:

• a spider web ,
• branches on a tree, or
• thin, separate lines

Factors that contribute to developing spider veins:

• genetics/age
• sun damage
• prolonged standing or sitting
• injury
• pregnancy
• hormonal therapy
• weight loss/gain
• medical conditions

It is important to note that although spider veins are a very common condition and are mainly treated for cosmetic reasons, they may also indicate an underlying medical condition. If you are unsure of the cause and have concerns about them, you should consult your doctor.
